In order to take advantage of the global demand for alternative energy, we
are constructing a biodiesel plant with production capacity of approximately
250,000 tonnes per annum. The plant is located in Dumai, Riau province,
close to the Dumai port and easily accessible from our existing palm oil
mills.
We will send the crude palm oil from our mills to be further refined into
biodiesel, if this process brings in additional margins for the Group. Our
integrated operations will give us the operational flexibility to optimise
the use of our biodiesel plant.
