First Resources Limited is one of the leading oil palm plantation companies in Indonesia. We are an upstream operator with primary business activities in the cultivation and harvesting of oil palms, and the processing of fresh fruit bunches into crude palm oil for local and export sales. Established in 1992, we are one of the fastest-growing plantation companies in the region. Today, we manage more than 97,000 hectares of planted oil palm plantations and operate 8 palm oil mills in Indonesia. Our plantations produced approximately 1.4 million tons of fresh fruits bunches and 323,000 tons of crude palm oil in 2008.

First Resources has one of the youngest plantation profiles in the industry. As such, we expect strong production growth over the next few years as our trees continue to mature. In addition, our efficiently executed operations, as evidenced by our operational matrices, have enabled us to keep our production costs competitive.
We intend to keep our focus on the upstream activities and plan to expand our plantation footprint in the short and medium term, mainly through new plantings. To support our growth plans, we obtained our listing on the Singapore Exchange in December 2007, there by raising fresh funds for our expansion plans. |
