HUMAN RIGHTS AND CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
First Resources is dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights and ensuring the protection of children across all areas of its operations. We will extend this commitment to our suppliers and other parties involved in our operations, ensuring they also meet national human rights standards.
We recognise our responsibility to uphold the dignity and rights of every individual and commit to ethical, transparent, and responsible business practices that respect and support the fundamental freedoms of all people.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to establish clear standards and procedures for respecting human rights and protecting children from exploitation, abuse, and harm within our business operations and extended value chain.
SCOPE
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, business partners, suppliers, and stakeholders engaged with our company. It covers all plantation operations, processing facilities, and associated activities.

We are committed to creating and maintaining a workplace that is free from any form of discrimination, harassment, abuse, and/or exploitation.

We are firmly committed to protecting the rights and well-being of children First Resources prohibits any form of child labor and will take immediate corrective actions where violations are identified.
We also support community programs that promote children’s education, health, and development, and ensure that business operations do not harm or exploit children in any manner. - Community and Stakeholder Engagement
Our commitment to human rights includes respecting the land tenure rights of local communities and indigenous people. We ensure that any new operations are preceded by a clear and robust process to obtain Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC).
We engage transparently with stakeholders, including employees, communities, NGOs, and government bodies, to identify, verify, and mitigate and address human rights and child protection risks.
We value cultural diversity and the unique heritage of local communities and aim to foster mutual respect and constructive partnerships.
COMMUNICATION
We have established whistleblowing and grievance procedures as a channel for stakeholders to raise concerns related to our operations.
In situations where concerns or disputes arise, we are dedicated to resolving them through open, transparent, fair, and equitable conflict resolution mechanisms that prioritise dialogue, mutual respect, and long-term trust.
GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY
The implementation of this Policy is overseen by the Company’s Executive Committee. Its execution is monitored by the Human Resources (HR) team. Regular reviews of its implementation will be monitored together with relevant departments.
REVIEW AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
This Policy will be reviewed periodically to reflect evolving international standards, stakeholder expectations, and company practices.
